Community Boards In The Bronx

Community Boards are local government bodies in New York City which are appointed by the City Council members or the Borough President. Community Board members are non-paid and do not have any administrative rights. However, they play an important advisory role with issues regarding, municipal service delivery, zoning matters, the City budget, and other community needs.

In total, there are 59 Community Boards in NYC, 12 are located in The Bronx. Each Board consists of up to 50 members. In order to be appointed as a Board Member, applicants must work, reside or have another significant interest in the respective community.
