The right to vote was earned with struggle, suffering and blood.  Generations prior to ours either suffered through, or participated in the struggle to expand voter rights.  From the 1870's to the 1970's, Americans fought against laws barring females, Blacks, the poor,  illiterates, and 18 to 20 year old Americans from voting.

Voting is the cornerstone of democracy. Our politicians are elected by the citizens of this country.  As a result, your vote is your power! Communities with a higher number of registered voters get more attention from politicians.  In addition, as citizens of this country we pay taxes.  Where and how our tax money is spent is decided by the politicians that are voted into office.  The same is true in reference to health care, our economy, etc.  Don't stand on the sidelines and be ignored...  Your vote count - use it!
